Amazon is hiring a Team Lead – Line Haul (ATS) for its Transportation Operations team in Thane, Maharashtra. The selected candidate will manage carrier operations, transportation associates, and logistics performance while ensuring on-time movement of line-haul vehicles across the Amazon transportation network.
This role is ideal for professionals with experience in logistics, transportation, warehousing, supply chain, or manufacturing operations. The position focuses on vendor management, carrier performance, network optimization, safety, compliance, capacity planning, and continuous process improvement to enhance customer experience.
🛠 Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily Line Haul transportation operations across the assigned region.
- Develop, onboard, and manage transportation vendors and carrier partners.
- Monitor transportation network performance and analyze operational trends.
- Investigate delays, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Plan transportation capacity and optimize vehicle utilization.
- Reduce transportation delays, breakdowns, and operational inefficiencies.
- Coordinate with Fulfillment Centers, Relay Operations Center, NOC, and Site Operations.
- Work with Security & Loss Prevention (SLP) teams to minimize in-transit losses and damages.
- Partner with Safety teams to improve yard safety and road safety standards.
- Ensure compliance with GPS tracking, vehicle registration, background verification (BGV), and transportation programs.
- Conduct weekly business reviews (WBR) and monitor carrier performance metrics.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve transportation speed, quality, and customer satisfaction.
🎓 Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor's Degree from a recognized university.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in logistics, transportation, warehousing, manufacturing, or customer-facing operations.
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to coordinate with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel is preferred.
- Knowledge of transportation operations and vendor management is an added advantage.
