💼 Associate Category Manager – HoReCa | Jumbotail Hiring
📌 Job Description
Every restaurant, hotel, and caterer in India depends on reliable, fairly priced ingredients delivered on time. Jumbotail is building a platform to make this possible at scale and is looking for an Associate Category Manager to own and grow a category for its HoReCa business.
The role focuses on category assortment, growth, margins, pricing, vendor partnerships, and delivering a differentiated product proposition for food-service customers.
🔑 Key Responsibilities
- Build and manage the HoReCa assortment across F&V, rice, edible oils, pulses, flours, spices, and other high-frequency products.
- Own category GMV, growth, margin, and contribution targets.
- Track market pricing and competition, and drive competitive pricing on hero SKUs.
- Work with vendors on product availability, pricing, and direct sourcing partnerships.
- Build and scale a differentiated F&V proposition for food-service customers.
- Partner with KAM/CG, SCM, Marketing, Finance, Data Science, and Operations teams to turn customer insights into category actions.
🎓 Eligibility / Qualifications
- 2–5 years of experience in Category Management, Buying or Merchandising, E-commerce, FMCG, B2B, Retail, or Food/Restaurant Supply Chain.
- Strong analytical and commercial mindset.
- Good understanding of pricing, assortment, and margins.
- Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and data analysis.
- High ownership and comfort working in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in HoReCa, FMCG, B2B commerce, F&V, or food distribution is an added advantage.
