π Job Description
Amazon is hiring Cluster Operations Managers for its AMZL Transportation team in Chennai. The role focuses on building and managing city-wide delivery infrastructure, transportation operations, workforce management, service partner coordination, and driving operational excellence across delivery networks.
π Key Responsibilities
- Set up and expand delivery infrastructure across the city
- Identify locations for delivery stations and IHS points
- Manage end-to-end transportation operations from FC to customer delivery
- Build network capacity by appointing and managing Service Partners
- Lead hiring, training, and workforce management for delivery teams
- Ensure operational readiness during peak delivery periods
- Coordinate with Finance, Customer Service, FC, and Project teams
- Conduct performance management and mentoring for operational managers
- Drive process improvements, Kaizen initiatives, and quality enhancements
- Analyze operational reports to identify bottlenecks and improve performance
π Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
- 2+ years of operations or logistics management experience preferred
- Strong leadership and people management skills mandatory
- Experience in transportation, delivery operations, or supply chain management preferred
- Strong analytical and process improvement skills required
- Ability to work in ambiguous and high-pressure operational environments mandatory
