BigBasket is hiring a Cold Room Technician for its Kolkata operations. The role involves installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of cold room and refrigeration systems to ensure uninterrupted warehouse and cold storage operations.

- Install, inspect, maintain, and repair cold room and refrigeration systems
- Diagnose issues related to compressors, condensers, evaporators, and thermostats
- Monitor cooling units, temperature controllers, and insulation systems regularly
- Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance activities
- Check and refill refrigerant gas when required
- Identify electrical and mechanical faults in refrigeration systems
- Maintain daily maintenance logs and service records accurately
- Ensure safety standards and compliance during maintenance operations
- Coordinate with operations teams for smooth cold storage functioning
🎓 Eligibility Criteria
- ITI / Diploma in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning / Electrician or related technical field
- 1–4 years of experience in cold room, refrigeration, or HVAC maintenance preferred
- Freshers with technical background may also apply
- Knowledge of refrigeration systems, chillers, and cold storage units required
- Basic understanding of electrical wiring and control systems preferred
- Ability to work in shifts if required
