π Operations Manager – Last Mile | Amazon GSF (Now, Fresh, SSD)
π Job Description
Amazon is hiring an Operations Manager for its GSF Operations team in Chennai. This role involves leading end-to-end last-mile operations across multiple sites, driving operational efficiency, improving customer experience, optimizing cost-to-serve, and scaling fast delivery networks under Amazon Now, Amazon Fresh, Same-Day Delivery (SSD), and Amazon Pharmacy operations.
π Key Responsibilities
- Drive operational performance across multiple last-mile delivery sites
- Own capacity planning, customer experience, and cost efficiency metrics
- Lead, coach, and develop operations leadership teams
- Collaborate with planning, finance, technology, and HR teams
- Support onboarding and scaling of new business verticals
- Identify operational gaps and implement process improvement initiatives
- Leverage data and operational metrics for decision-making and performance tracking
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards
π Eligibility Criteria
- 3+ years of employee and performance management experience required
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required
- 2+ years of Amazon (Blue Badge/FTE) experience can also qualify
- Experience in logistics, supply chain, or operations leadership preferred
- Experience in performance metrics and process improvement preferred
- Knowledge of Lean techniques and operational optimization preferred
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays required
- Strong analytical and stakeholder management skills preferred
