Zepto is hiring an Associate Director – Rider Operations to lead rider growth, productivity, engagement, and operational excellence at scale. This leadership role is responsible for managing cluster-level rider operations, improving last-mile performance, optimizing workforce utilization, and driving high customer satisfaction through operational excellence. Candidates with strong experience in last-mile logistics, fleet management, and e-commerce delivery operations are encouraged to apply.
π Key Responsibilities
- Own daily rider operations across assigned clusters to ensure high fulfillment and delivery performance
- Monitor and improve rider metrics including attendance, productivity, efficiency, compliance, and on-time performance
- Act as the primary escalation point for on-ground operational challenges and bottlenecks
- Drive rider discipline, SOP compliance, and safety adherence across operations
- Lead, mentor, and develop Rider Leads and Delivery Executives
- Optimize routing, shift planning, and rider allocation using data-driven insights
- Collaborate with city operations and central teams to execute engagement initiatives
- Drive process improvements and operational excellence projects
- Ensure superior customer experience through strong operational execution
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to improve last-mile efficiency
π Eligibility Criteria
- Graduate qualification is mandatory
- 7–10 years of experience in last-mile operations, fleet management, or e-commerce delivery operations
- Strong understanding of rider performance metrics and cluster-level operations
- Experience managing large field teams and delivery networks
- Strong analytical and operational problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in Excel and performance tracking dashboards
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth operational environment
