BigBasket is hiring an experienced Buyer for its Dairy Category at the Whitefield, Bangalore location. The selected candidate will be responsible for procurement, vendor management, inventory planning, stock hygiene, and ensuring consistent product availability across the dairy category. This role is ideal for professionals with hands-on experience in Fresh Milk, Dairy, and Dairy Products.
🛠 Key Responsibilities
- Manage procurement for Fresh Milk, Dairy, and Dairy Products.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely procurement and deliveries.
- Plan inventory to maintain optimum stock availability.
- Monitor stock hygiene, freshness, and product quality standards.
- Track category performance and optimize product availability.
- Coordinate with warehouse, supply chain, and operations teams.
- Prepare procurement reports, inventory analysis, and category MIS.
🎓 Eligibility Criteria
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience.
- Hands-on experience in Fresh Milk, Dairy, and Dairy Products procurement.
- Strong vendor management and vendor coordination experience.
- Experience in inventory planning and stock management.
- Knowledge of stock hygiene and quality control practices.
- Good analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Retail, FMCG, Dairy, or E-Commerce industry experience preferred.
