Urban Company is hiring Category Managers in Gurugram for a high-impact business operations role focused on analytics, category growth, and operational excellence. You will work closely with Operations, Product, Marketing, and Business teams to improve performance, identify growth opportunities, and deliver measurable business outcomes.
π Key Responsibilities
- Leverage data to identify business opportunities and drive category growth
- Analyze large datasets to uncover trends, performance gaps, and actionable insights
- Build dashboards and monitor key business and operational metrics
- Automate reporting processes using Excel and SQL
- Partner with Operations, Product, Marketing, and Business teams on cross-functional initiatives
- Drive process improvements through root cause analysis and data-backed recommendations
- Own end-to-end execution of strategic and operational projects
- Support decision-making through business reporting, analysis, and performance tracking
- Improve operational efficiency and category performance through structured problem-solving
- Work in a fast-paced environment with a strong focus on business impact and execution excellence
π Eligibility Criteria
- 1–3 years of experience in Business Operations, Strategy & Operations, Category Management, Analytics, Supply Operations, Consulting, or similar roles
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience handling large datasets
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is mandatory
- Working knowledge of SQL for data extraction and analysis is highly preferred
- Experience building dashboards using Power BI or Tableau will be an added advantage
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, ownership-driven environment
- Execution-focused mindset with a strong bias for action
