DMart is hiring a Senior Purchase Officer for locations across Telangana. The selected candidate will be responsible for procurement and purchasing activities, vendor relationship management, inventory planning, price negotiations, and ensuring timely product availability. This opportunity is ideal for professionals with at least 2 years of FMCG purchase and procurement experience who possess strong analytical and negotiation skills.
🛠 Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end purchasing and procurement activities for assigned product categories.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, payment conditions, and supply agreements.
- Ensure timely procurement to maintain optimum inventory levels across operations.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure uninterrupted product availability.
- Monitor inventory levels and work closely with warehouse and operations teams.
- Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, cost, delivery, and service.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining product quality and availability.
- Analyze procurement data and prepare reports for management review.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, SOPs, and company standards.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to forecast procurement requirements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in procurement and supply chain processes.
🎓 Eligibility Criteria
- Any Graduate.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in FMCG Purchase or Procurement.
- Mandatory experience in the FMCG industry.
- Strong experience in vendor management and supplier relationship management.
- Knowledge of procurement processes, inventory planning, and purchase management.
- Excellent negotiation and commercial skills.
