DMart is hiring an Assistant Manager – Purchase (Staples Business) to strengthen its procurement team. The role focuses on inventory replenishment, vendor development, category coordination, and procurement operations while ensuring competitive pricing and product availability. The selected candidate will work closely with sourcing, quality, finance, transport, distribution center (DC), and category teams to drive operational excellence.
🛠 Key Responsibilities
- Manage replenishment planning to ensure continuous product availability.
- Conduct regular store visits to understand inventory and operational requirements.
- Develop, evaluate, and manage supplier and vendor relationships.
- Coordinate with Quality, Finance, Transport, and Distribution Centre (DC) teams.
- Process purchase planning while maintaining optimal inventory levels.
- Perform market benchmarking and pricing analysis to maintain competitive pricing.
- Work closely with National Category and Sourcing teams for local assortment planning.
- Support category growth by identifying sourcing opportunities and new vendors.
- Ensure timely procurement and smooth supply chain execution.
- Monitor procurement KPIs, vendor performance, and product availability.
- Maintain procurement documentation and operational reports.
- Contribute to DMart's commitment to offering the lowest-priced retail products.
🎓 Eligibility Criteria
- Graduate from a recognized university.
- Relevant experience in Purchase, Procurement, Category Management, or Supply Chain.
- Experience in Retail or FMCG procurement will be preferred.
- Strong understanding of inventory replenishment and vendor management.
- Knowledge of procurement processes, supply chain coordination, and benchmarking.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to coordinate with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
