📄 Job Description
Dexian is hiring an experienced English ↔ Marathi Language Specialist to join its team in Gurgaon.
The role is ideal for a language and localization professional with strong Marathi and English language skills and experience in professional translation, linguistic testing, content editing and localization workflows.
The selected candidate will work on translated content, including UI and long-form content, while supporting linguistic quality, cultural adaptation, terminology management and vendor translation teams.
🛠 Key Responsibilities
- Translate and edit Meta content, including UI and long-form content, between English and Marathi.
- Review translated content for linguistic accuracy, consistency and cultural relevance.
- Perform linguistic and functional testing of translated products.
- Identify translation, terminology, grammar and localization issues during testing.
- Maintain and update terminology databases and language-specific style guides.
- Provide linguistic and cultural expertise across localization projects.
- Ensure translated content is culturally appropriate for Marathi-speaking audiences.
- Support vendor translation teams with linguistic guidance and feedback.
- Review vendor translations and provide actionable linguistic feedback.
- Collaborate with localization and project teams to ensure quality and timely delivery.
- Help maintain consistency across localized products and content.
- Support continuous improvement of translation and localization processes.
🎓 Eligibility Criteria
- 3+ years of professional translation experience, specifically English ↔ Marathi.
- Native-level fluency in Marathi.
- Near-native proficiency in English.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification.
- Strong understanding of translation, localization and cultural adaptation.
- Experience with linguistic review and functional testing is preferred.
- Familiarity with CAT tools and localization workflows is preferred.
- Background in Translation Studies, Linguistics, Communications or a related field will be an advantage.
- Strong attention to linguistic detail and consistency.
- Ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders and vendor translation teams.
- Willingness to work in a hybrid model with 3 days WFO in Gurgaon.
