Pranik Logistics Limited is hiring an experienced Vehicle Procurement Manager for its Kolkata operations. The role will be responsible for building and managing a strong network of vehicle owners and fleet partners, procuring commercial vehicles, negotiating competitive rates, and ensuring timely vehicle availability for operational requirements.
The ideal candidate should have strong experience in vehicle procurement, fleet management, or transportation, along with excellent vendor management, negotiation, and local market knowledge.
🛠 Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage a strong network of vehicle owners and fleet partners.
- Procure commercial vehicles according to operational requirements.
- Negotiate vehicle rates, commercial terms, and contracts with vendors.
- Ensure timely availability and deployment of vehicles.
- Manage vendor relationships and monitor vendor performance.
- Track market rates and identify cost-effective vehicle procurement opportunities.
- Coordinate closely with Operations and Transport teams for vehicle requirements.
- Maintain procurement records, vendor databases, and relevant documentation.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and statutory requirements.
- Monitor procurement performance against operational and cost targets.
- Build long-term relationships with fleet owners and transportation partners.
🎓 Eligibility Criteria
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in Vehicle Procurement, Fleet Management, or Transportation.
- Strong understanding of commercial vehicle procurement and fleet operations.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Good knowledge of the local transportation and commercial vehicle market.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work in a target-driven and fast-paced logistics environment.
