📝 Job Description
Ujjivan Small Finance Bank is hiring a Cluster Legal Manager for Lucknow and Delhi.
The role involves managing legal matters across an assigned cluster, including mortgage and property title due diligence, branch banking legal matters, litigation, legal documentation and coordination with internal stakeholders and external legal counsel.
🎯 Key Responsibilities
- Manage legal matters and requirements across the assigned cluster.
- Conduct and oversee mortgage/property title due diligence.
- Liaise with Sales, Credit teams and empanelled advocates for legal opinions and documentation.
- Handle branch banking legal queries, including deceased claims and other legal matters.
- Manage litigation matters before DRT, Consumer Courts, Civil Courts and High Court.
- Provide guidance on matters related to the SARFAESI Act, Negotiable Instruments Act and other applicable laws.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external legal counsel for timely resolution of legal matters.
- Review and process legal/vendor bills and ensure proper documentation.
✅ Eligibility Criteria
- 5–7 years of experience in the legal function within the banking or financial services sector.
- Strong experience in mortgage and property title due diligence.
- Good knowledge of banking laws, SARFAESI Act and Negotiable Instruments Act.
- Experience handling litigation before DRT, Consumer Courts, Civil Courts and High Court.
- Strong stakeholder management and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage legal matters across multiple branches and locations.
