📝 Job Description
KFC is looking for an experienced Area Manager – Operations to oversee multiple restaurants across Kerala. This opportunity is suited to a dynamic, numbers-driven operations leader with a passion for building high-performing restaurant teams.
The selected candidate will take full profit and loss (P&L) ownership of an assigned restaurant cluster, drive sales growth, maintain brand compliance, optimize operational costs and develop restaurant leadership talent.
Candidates with experience in multi-unit management or senior restaurant operations within QSR, CDR or retail food chains are encouraged to apply.
📋 Key Responsibilities
1. P&L and Business Performance
- Drive sales performance across the assigned restaurant cluster.
- Control food and labour costs to improve store-level margins.
- Monitor financial performance and achieve quarterly EBITDA targets.
- Take ownership of cluster-level P&L performance.
2. Operational Excellence
- Maintain brand audit standards and food safety compliance.
- Monitor speed of service (SOS) and customer satisfaction scores through Guest Experience Surveys.
- Drive consistent operational execution across multiple restaurants.
- Ensure restaurant teams follow brand standards and operating procedures.
3. Team Leadership and Development
- Coach and develop Restaurant General Managers (RGMs).
- Conduct structured succession planning.
- Build strong talent pipelines across the region.
- Develop high-performing restaurant leadership teams.
4. Business Growth
- Monitor local market competition and identify business opportunities.
- Lead local store marketing (LSM) execution.
- Support new restaurant openings (NROs).
- Drive consistent sales growth and operational performance across the cluster.
🎓 Eligibility Criteria
- 3–6+ years of experience in multi-unit management or senior restaurant operations.
- Experience in QSR, CDR or retail food chains.
- Proven track record of managing multi-site P&Ls.
- Experience leading multi-tiered operational teams.
- Strong analytical and business performance management skills.
- Ability to travel across Kerala.
- Fluency in Malayalam and English is strongly preferred.
