Sylvan Plyboard (India) Limited is hiring an experienced Assistant Manager – HR for its HR team in Salt Lake, Kolkata.
The role is focused on leading the HR team and managing day-to-day HR operations in a manufacturing environment.
No recruitment or candidate screening experience is required for this position. The role primarily focuses on employee relations, labour law, statutory compliance, manpower coordination, contractor HR and HR operations.
🎯 Key Responsibilities
- Lead the HR team and manage daily HR operations.
- Handle employee relations, grievances and disciplinary matters.
- Ensure labour law and factory statutory compliance.
- Maintain statutory registers, HR records and documentation.
- Coordinate manpower requirements with departments.
- Manage contractor HR and statutory compliance.
- Implement HR policies and employee initiatives.
- Coordinate with management, employees, contractors and statutory authorities.
✅ Eligibility Criteria
- Graduate / Postgraduate qualification.
- MBA/PGDM in HR is preferred.
- 3–5 years of relevant HR experience.
- Manufacturing / Factory HR experience is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of labour laws and statutory compliance.
- Experience in team management and employee relations.
- Strong communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
- No recruitment or candidate screening experience is required.
