Amazon's Fuse & Mobile Business Development (MBD) Finance Team is seeking a finance professional with strong analytical skills and business judgment to support strategic partnerships with Mobile Operators, video distributors, and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).
The role focuses on supporting strategic commercial partnerships in India and Asia Pacific through financial modelling, customer value analysis, business insights, and recommendations that influence senior leadership decisions.
As a finance partner, the role works across finance, business development, marketing, and Business Intelligence teams to transform complex datasets into actionable insights and support Amazon's growth initiatives.
🎯 Key Responsibilities
- Build complex, scalable, and flexible financial models to evaluate partnership opportunities and deliver recommendations.
- Develop and report key input metrics that support business growth and strategic partnership decisions.
- Transform complex datasets into actionable insights for business decision-making.
- Partner with Business Development and Marketing teams to challenge business assumptions and evaluate partnership economics.
- Provide thought leadership in quantifying the value of distinct customer behaviours.
- Collaborate with Finance leaders and Business Intelligence teams to enhance and automate financial reports.
- Ensure accuracy in billing, cost allocation, and financial presentations.
- Communicate financial strategies and analysis to VP-level leaders.
- Influence stakeholders across a matrixed environment while navigating ambiguity.
🎓 Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of finance or related analytical field experience.
- 5+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analysis.
- 5+ years of building financial and operational reports/datasets that inform business decision-making.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Statistics, or Business, or Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of quantitative role experience.
🛠️ Preferred Qualifications & Skills
- Experience solving complex business challenges through accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations.
- Experience delivering measurable business impact through financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits.
- MBA or CPA.
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL.
- Experience with large-scale data mining and reporting tools such as SQL, MS Access, Essbase, or Cognos.
- Experience with financial systems such as Oracle, SAP, or Lawson/JD Edwards.
- Experience with forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and data interpretation.
