Katanga is looking for an experienced and result-oriented Modern Trade Assistant Manager to drive FMCG business growth, strengthen retail partnerships, and manage modern trade operations. The role involves sales performance management, retail chain relationships, category management, visual merchandising, team leadership, and data-driven business improvement.
🔑 Key Responsibilities
- Manage and drive Modern Trade business performance across the assigned region.
- Build strong relationships with large retail chains and supermarkets.
- Conduct regular outlet visits and negotiate for shelf space and product visibility.
- Drive category management and visual merchandising initiatives.
- Lead and manage a team of 10–15 members, including third-party merchandising teams.
- Set daily targets, monitor performance, and drive achievement of sales objectives.
- Plan and execute in-store promotions, product launches, and marketing initiatives.
- Track sales, store compliance, and planograms using tools such as Bizom.
- Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities and improve store performance.
🎓 Eligibility Criteria
- Strong knowledge of FMCG products and the Modern Trade channel.
- Proven experience in sales, retail negotiations, category management, and visual merchandising.
- Hands-on experience with Modern Trade merchandise management or planogram tools such as Bizom.
- Ability to lead and manage teams, including third-party merchandising staff.
- Strong relationship-building, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
