📝 Job Description
Amazon's FC team is seeking a highly skilled and motivated professional to help develop and implement a world-class security program for its first-mile network. The program is intended to ensure that customers receive the items they purchase on time and at the best possible cost.
The SLP Specialist – AMZL will partner with respective stakeholders and program teams across various cities within a region to execute company security policies and provide security services and protection for assets including lives, inventory in transit and within sort centers, buildings, equipment, data and intellectual property.
The role is a key member of the AMZL team, working with the Regional team and cross-functional teams throughout the organisation.
🎯 Key Responsibilities
- Perform risk assessments of sites and operating models and frame mitigation measures.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of central and state security issues and implement company security policies and applicable industry or merchant requirements.
- Complete and/or coordinate final Test and Acceptance of site security systems that leverage the access control system.
- Establish and implement effective, predictable and measurable procedures, processes and prevention programs impacting losses, pilferage and accident trends.
- Conduct job hazard and job safety analyses.
- Perform frequent site security audits to identify non-compliant equipment and/or processes.
- Implement solutions to eliminate exposure to identified risks and prevent injury.
- Ensure guarding vendors have a clear understanding of expectations and hold them accountable for meeting or surpassing service level agreement requirements.
- Work with guarding vendor management to ensure recruitment, hiring and retention of candidates who raise the performance bar of the security services organisation.
- Build and deploy security training programs.
- Serve as the department's liaison and security subject matter expert.
- Effectively address safety and security incidents, including potential and actual workplace violence incidents, in accordance with policy.
- Conduct testing of incident response plans.
- Enhance, track and report metrics that serve as key performance indicators.
- Coordinate with support teams including the Worldwide Operations Security Team, IT Security and Network Engineering as needed.
- Utilize Kaizen, Lean and Six Sigma methods to drive process improvements and increase efficiency.
🎓 Eligibility / Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in Security and Loss Prevention.
- Bachelor's degree or Advanced degree.
- MBA is preferred.
