📄 Job Description
BigBasket is looking for an experienced Regional QC Head – Fruits & Vegetables (FNV) to lead quality assurance across Distribution Centers and vendor networks. The selected candidate will drive quality compliance, improve customer satisfaction, reduce wastage, and strengthen quality control processes throughout the fresh produce supply chain while ensuring adherence to food safety and regulatory standards.
🛠 Key Responsibilities
- Lead quality control operations across Distribution Centers.
- Monitor customer complaints and conduct root cause analysis (RCA).
- Ensure 100% quality checks for vendor arrivals and sampling of national arrivals.
- Lead, mentor, and train QC teams while ensuring SOP compliance.
- Support vendor onboarding and maintain quality alignment.
- Monitor shelf-life, grading standards, rejection rates, and wastage.
- Ensure documentation, hygiene practices, and FSSAI compliance.
- Control write-offs, dump, shrinkage, and implement CAPA initiatives.
- Prepare quality reports, dashboards, and performance reviews.
- Drive continuous improvement across the fresh produce supply chain.
🎓 Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Food Technology, or a related field.
- 5–8 years of Quality Control experience in Fruits & Vegetables, Retail, E-commerce, or Fresh Produce industry.
- Strong knowledge of grading standards, shelf-life management, and quality parameters.
- Experience leading QC teams across multiple locations.
- Knowledge of FSSAI regulations, food safety, and hygiene standards.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, reporting, and operational dashboards.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills.
