Abdos Group is hiring an Assistant Manager – HR for its manufacturing plant in Howrah, West Bengal. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing the complete employee life cycle, recruitment, contract labour management, HR compliances, administration, security, employee relations, and liaison with government authorities. This role is ideal for experienced HR professionals with 8–15 years of manufacturing industry experience and strong knowledge of labour laws and statutory compliance.
π Key Responsibilities
- Manage the complete employee life cycle from recruitment to retirement.
- Handle end-to-end recruitment and selection to meet manpower requirements.
- Manage onboarding, confirmation, transfers, promotions, and employee exits.
- Administer contract labour operations and coordinate with contractors.
- Ensure compliance with labour laws, statutory regulations, and company HR policies.
- Conduct HR compliance reviews and internal HR audits.
- Maintain statutory records, registers, and documentation related to labour compliance.
- Lead employee relations initiatives and resolve workplace grievances effectively.
- Coordinate with government officials for inspections, statutory matters, and regulatory compliance.
- Oversee plant administration, housekeeping, transport, and security functions.
- Support employee engagement, disciplinary actions, and performance management initiatives.
- Prepare HR MIS reports and maintain accurate employee records.
- Partner with plant leadership to ensure smooth HR and administrative operations.
π Eligibility Criteria
- 8–15 years of HR experience in a Manufacturing company is mandatory.
- Experience managing the complete employee life cycle.
- Strong expertise in recruitment and talent acquisition.
- Hands-on experience managing contractual labour and contractor administration.
- Excellent knowledge of labour laws and local statutory compliances.
- Experience conducting HR compliance reviews and HR audits.
- Exposure to administration and plant security management.
- Experience liaising with government authorities and regulatory bodies.
- Strong employee relations, conflict resolution, and communication skills.
