V-Mart Retail Ltd. is looking for a sharp and analytical Deputy Manager / Manager – Compensation & Benefits (C&B) to join its Gurgaon Head Office. The role focuses on building data-driven compensation and reward strategies across large-scale retail operations.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Compensation & Benefits, salary benchmarking, incentive design, manpower budgeting, total rewards, pay-equity analysis, and workforce cost management. Experience in large-volume organizations with 10,000+ employees or prior C&B consulting experience will be an added advantage.
π― Key Responsibilities
π° Compensation Benchmarking & Pay Structures
- Lead annual compensation benchmarking exercises using market surveys such as Mercer and Aon.
- Analyze market compensation data and align salary structures with relevant market medians.
- Manage compensation structures across corporate, warehouse, and store operations.
- Support pay-equity analysis and identify opportunities for compensation optimization.
π― Incentive & Variable Pay Design
- Design and optimize variable pay and sales incentive frameworks.
- Develop incentive models linked to business metrics such as Sales Per Square Foot (SPSF).
- Design reward frameworks linked to Cluster P&L and store conversion performance.
- Simulate incentive scenarios and assess their financial and business impact.
- Evaluate effectiveness of existing incentive programs and recommend improvements.
π Manpower Cost & Budget Governance
- Drive annual manpower budgeting and AOP planning.
- Model annual increment and bonus cycles.
- Monitor manpower costs and identify variance against approved budgets.
- Develop cost simulations and workforce cost projections.
- Partner with business teams to ensure effective manpower cost governance.
π Total Rewards & Benefits
- Evaluate and optimize employee benefits across the organization.
- Analyze utilization and effectiveness of high-usage employee benefit programs.
- Support the development of competitive and cost-effective total rewards strategies.
- Use data and market insights to improve employee value propositions.
π Eligibility Criteria
- 4–9 years of specialized experience in Compensation & Benefits.
- MBA / PG in HR from a Tier-1 or Tier-2 institution.
- Experience in Retail, FMCG, QSR, E-commerce, or Consumer Durables is preferred.
- Experience managing compensation programs in high-volume organizations is highly preferred.
- Experience handling an employee base of 10,000+ headcount will be an added advantage.
- Prior C&B consulting experience is also a strong advantage.
- Strong analytical and financial modelling capabilities.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
