BringBasket is looking for an experienced Sourcing Manager to build exciting and commercially successful product assortments across Home Décor, Kids / Children’s Products, Gifting, Kitchen & Utensils.
BringBasket is focused on modernising neighbourhood retail in India by combining technology, quality products and a strong retail ecosystem. The Sourcing Manager will play an important role in building the right products, developing supplier partnerships and creating value-driven assortments for customers.
This opportunity is suited to a strategic sourcing professional with strong experience in product sourcing, vendor development, category development, negotiation, cost management and supplier relationship management.

🛠 Key Responsibilities
- Lead product sourcing activities across assigned consumer-product categories.
- Develop commercially attractive product assortments aligned with customer and market requirements.
- Identify new products, suppliers, manufacturers and sourcing opportunities across India.
- Build, develop and maintain strong vendor and supplier relationships.
- Evaluate suppliers based on product quality, pricing, capability, reliability and commercial terms.
- Drive vendor development and supplier relationship management.
- Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, margins and cost structures with suppliers.
- Manage sourcing costs and identify opportunities for cost optimisation.
- Track market trends and emerging product categories to identify new business opportunities.
- Work on product selection, pricing and assortment strategy.
- Manage the sourcing lifecycle from product concept through final product selection.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure product specifications and commercial requirements are met.
- Develop and strengthen a reliable supplier network across India.
- Identify gaps in existing assortments and recommend new products to improve category performance.
- Support category development through market research, product discovery and supplier partnerships.
- Build commercially successful categories by balancing customer needs, product quality and profitability.
- Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong long-term vendor relationships.
- Identify opportunities for new partnerships, products and business growth.
🎓 Eligibility Criteria
- 8–10 years of relevant professional experience.
- Strong experience in Product Sourcing and Category Development.
- Proven experience identifying, developing and managing vendors.
- Strong negotiation and commercial-management skills.
- Good understanding of cost management and pricing.
- Strong understanding of market trends and consumer-product categories.
- Experience managing sourcing from concept to final product.
- Strong supplier and vendor network across India.
- Ability to identify new products, vendors and business opportunities.
- Strong commercial acumen and analytical thinking.
- Excellent communication and relationship-management skills.
- Strategic mindset with strong execution capabilities.
- Experience in Home Décor, Kids, Gifting, Kitchen & Utensils or similar consumer-product categories will be highly relevant.
