📄 Job Description
Transvolt is hiring a proactive and experienced Road Safety Officer for its operations across Julwania and Meghalaya.
The role will focus on improving road safety standards through driver induction, refresher training, defensive driving programs, safety inspections, compliance monitoring and incident investigation.
The selected candidate will work closely with Operations and Depot teams to improve driver behaviour, strengthen transport safety practices and promote a strong road safety culture across the organization.
🛠 Key Responsibilities
- Conduct driver induction and refresher training programs.
- Train drivers on road safety, defensive driving and safe operating practices.
- Monitor driver performance and provide coaching to improve driving behaviour.
- Conduct safety inspections, audits and compliance checks.
- Identify unsafe driving practices and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
- Investigate accidents and safety incidents and identify root causes.
- Recommend preventive and corrective measures following accidents or incidents.
- Promote road safety awareness across drivers and operational teams.
- Ensure adherence to applicable transport safety regulations and internal safety standards.
- Coordinate with Operations and Depot teams to improve overall road safety performance.
- Maintain driver safety records and training documentation.
- Prepare incident reports, inspection reports and safety performance updates.
- Track driver training and compliance requirements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to transport and road safety.
- Travel across assigned locations as required for training, audits and safety activities.
🎓 Eligibility Criteria
- 2–5 years of experience in Road Safety, Transport Safety or Driver Training.
- HMV Driving License is mandatory.
- Knowledge of road safety regulations and transport safety practices.
- Strong understanding of defensive driving techniques.
- Knowledge of vehicle safety standards and safe operating practices.
- Experience conducting driver training and safety awareness programs.
- Experience in safety inspections, audits and compliance checks.
- Understanding of accident and incident investigation.
- Strong communication, reporting and training skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Willingness to travel across assigned locations.
- Knowledge of EV vehicles will be an added advantage.
