📄 Job Description
UFlex is looking for an experienced Safety Officer to support plant-level safety operations and ensure compliance with applicable safety norms, EHS regulations and statutory requirements.
The role is suitable for safety professionals with a qualification in Safety Engineering / Safety Management or recognized certifications such as NEBOSH / ADIS, along with relevant exposure to plant or industrial safety.
The selected candidate will be responsible for strengthening workplace safety practices, conducting risk assessments and audits, ensuring statutory compliance and contributing to a strong zero-accident safety culture.
🛠 Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with applicable safety norms, EHS regulations and statutory requirements.
- Drive plant-level safety practices and promote a strong safety culture.
- Monitor safety compliance across plant operations and identify gaps.
- Conduct and support workplace safety risk assessments.
- Identify hazards and recommend appropriate preventive and corrective actions.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits.
- Ensure proper implementation and usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Support compliance with applicable Factory Act and safety requirements.
- Maintain safety-related records, reports and compliance documentation.
- Coordinate with plant teams to close identified safety observations and audit findings.
- Promote safe working practices and employee awareness across the plant.
- Support incident prevention and contribute towards maintaining a zero-accident culture.
- Identify potential safety risks and implement preventive measures.
- Ensure timely completion of safety-related corrective and preventive actions.
🎓 Eligibility Criteria
- Diploma / B.E in Safety or relevant safety qualification.
- NEBOSH / ADIS certification will be considered.
- Experience in plant, manufacturing or industrial safety will be preferred.
- Good knowledge of EHS regulations and statutory safety requirements.
- Knowledge of applicable Factory Act requirements.
- Strong understanding of PPE requirements and safety practices.
- Experience conducting risk assessments and safety audits.
- Strong compliance-oriented approach and attention to detail.
- Ability to identify hazards and implement corrective and preventive measures.
- Commitment to maintaining a strong zero-accident safety culture.
